A Memory Quilt

This memory quilt was commissioned as a Christmas gift. I used t-shirts, skirts, shorts, & even a winter scarf. I hope the recipient likes it and that it is a blessing to her and her family.

A Really Big One

Since there were so many t-shirts to include, I added the black sashing. This quilt was much more time-consuming than I originally thought it would be. But I got it finished last night. I didn't measure it, but it will probably cover a full-size bed easily.

My mother-in-law asked me to make these two quilts. One for each of her two sons and their families. Two years later, they need to be updated!

My Biggest Fan

This quilt is for my husband made from his dad's clothes. There's no batting but it's very heavy and very warm.

For the Breezeway

After my hubby finished painting the exterior of our house this summer, I started sprucing up our back patio and breezeway. I made this quilt for the breezeway using what I thought was some of the ugliest fabric in my stash. It's out of the weather but gets the west sunshine in late afternoon and evening. Summer can be brutal, and I thought it would fade out pretty quickly. But it's November,still pretty, and I love it! It's nice to walk into the house each afternoon and be greeted by a quilt in the most unexpected places! I think I'll make a different one for each season and holiday.
